The word “Information Technology” is used to describe the use of technology to capture, store, process, retrieve, transmit, and manipulate data. This includes methods for the communication of data by computer technology. IT encompasses an enormous range of technologies that are used in countless ways today. The term “Information Technology” became popular after the 1990s when computers were being introduced in every sphere of life. They were being used in businesses, homes, medical facilities, etc. IT was being implemented in various fields like communication, education, air traffic control among other fields. So today people are using computers to store medical records or schoolwork or business files or other personal files.

Every decade has seen a rise in the number of jobs available in the IT field. This is because information technology can be used in any field. It does not have any limitation to what it can be used for. It is being applied to what we have already mentioned above and also in many other fields that have not yet been discovered or implemented yet. Every year thousands of people are employed in IT jobs across the world.

2. Computer Systems Analyst

A computer systems analyst is a person who designs, develops, and maintains computer systems for companies, governments, and organizations. He or she also studies and designs an organization’s needs and how it will use the computer system to meet those needs. After completing the design phase, the systems analyst tests and debugs the system to ensure that it works properly. He or she then trains the user on how to use the system.

3. Computer Support Specialist

A computer support specialist is a person who provides technical support for computer systems. They also assist users with installing, upgrading, and troubleshooting software and hardware. Computer support specialists may also perform network maintenance tasks, such as monitoring network traffic and troubleshooting network problems. They also provide customer service to users. 

4. Network Administrator

A system administrator’s duties are to set up and maintain the network infrastructure including servers, workstations, operating systems, applications, and network services. They set up the network infrastructure according to the network design plan. They keep an eye on the servers and workstations to ensure they are working properly and troubleshoot any problems that occur. Also, they make sure that users can access the network services, applications, and resources. They are also responsible for the backup of data.

5. Network Architect

A network architect is a person who designs the network infrastructure. He or she creates network topology models and maps out the logical and physical components of a network. After creating a design plan, the network architect works with the system administrator to implement it. The network architect makes changes to the network as needed.
